Applying for Graduation

  • Complete & Submit Application

The graduation application is available on SAIL for all students who are applying to graduate. Login to your SAIL account in order to apply for the graduation.

  • Graduation Fee & Deadlines

Applicants for graduation will pay a non-refundable / non-transferable $40 graduation fee.

NOTE: Students have to pay a late fee of $55 if applied after the regular fee deadline.

The graduation application fee was approved in 2013 for costs related to diplomas and production. We in-house print our diplomas using a software system and dedicated equipment.

 Photo & Special Message Submission

Graduates received an email to their Islander email from commencement.tamucc.edu with instructions on how to submit their photos and special message for the virtual commencement. 

  • GRADUATE SLIDE INFORMATION: All graduate slides will include the graduate name, degree, major, and Latin honors for qualified undergraduate candidates. The slide will also include a photo and personal message that you can submit through the form sent to your Islander E-mail.
  • GRADUATE PHOTOS: All candidates are encouraged to wear the official black cap and gown, which should be purchased at the Campus Store. If you did not order or plan to order regalia, you are encouraged to wear business professional attire. Graduates are encouraged to use natural lighting. Photos must be appropriate for an academic audience to be included. For graduates that do not log in to the data collection website, a basic slide with the available information will be created (e.g. Name, Degree, Major). Graduate photo submission is due by 11:59CST on Sunday, August 2nd.
  • PERSONAL MESSAGE/STATEMENT: Graduates are encouraged to draft a personal message to appear on the slide during the ceremony. Personal statements must be appropriate for an academic audience to be included. Personal statement submission is due by 11:59 CST on Sunday, August 2nd.

Day of Virtual Commencement

On August 15, 2020, graduates will visit the Commencement website for their respective ceremony websites. Refer to time and respective colleges for the release time of the graduate videos. 


Tuition Rebate
 

Certain undergraduate students who attempt no more than three hours in excess of the minimum number of semester credit hours required to complete their degrees may be entitled up to a $1,000 tuition rebate after graduation. Click here for more information. 

 

Final Degrees/Diplomas

Every graduate is issued one complimentary diploma upon meeting his or her degree requirements. All official Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Bachelor and Master degree diplomas are produced in-house on the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi campus. These diplomas are printed on 10 by 13-inch high-quality #65 text Classic Crest Baronial diploma stock paper. Doctoral degree diplomas are printed through a separate process out of state.

Diplomas are not distributed at the commencement ceremony but are made available for pick up at the Office of the Registrar in the weeks following the ceremony. For information regarding duplicate copies, click here.
