The TAMU-CC virtual commencement will be a celebration and recognition of our December 2020 graduates through a video that will feature a slide for each graduate with their name, degree, and a photo (if a photo is submitted through the online form on the commencement website by December 9th).

All December 2020 graduates will have a slide featured in the virtual commencement.

The virtual commencement will take place Saturday, December 19, 2020.

No. All December 2020 graduates that applied for graduation by Monday, November 30, 2020, 11:59 PM CST, will be included. Unfortunately, due to data collection and processing time, any graduate that applied after November 30, 2020, will not be featured in the virtual ceremonies. 

Graduates can visit the virtual commencement submission form to submit their photo. All December 2020 graduates need to submit their photo by December 9 at 5 p.m. CST.

Graduates that have already purchased regalia may prefer to wear a cap and gown for their photo. If graduates did not order or plan to order regalia, they are encouraged to wear business professional attire.

Graduates are encouraged to use natural lighting. Photos must be appropriate for an academic audience to be included.

For graduates that do not submit the Virtual Commencement Photo Submission Form, a basic slide with the available information will be created (e.g. Name, Degree, Major).

No, slide designs are uniform and created for the graduates. Graduates only need to submit a photo and phonetic name spelling by Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST.

Each ceremony will include the reading of the graduates' names in recognition of their accomplishments.

The virtual commencement will be viewable on the commencement website on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the designated time for the college.

Though Commencement will occur virtually, the Islander Alumni Association will still be making leis available for pick-up! Graduates can keep the Islander tradition strong by jazzing up your photos and Grad day celebrations.

Leis will be available for pick-up at the Woo Sung Lee Alumni Welcome Center (6129 Ennis Joslin Road) on Friday, December 18th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (CST), and Saturday, December 19th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CST).

There are no refunds for graduation applications. The graduation application fees were approved in 2013 for costs related to diplomas and production, digital diplomas, drive-thru diploma parade, and postage for diploma mail-out, not the ceremony itself. 

The Colleges are currently working on the hooding and pinning ceremony plans for December. As soon as details are available they will be provided to graduates and posted on the commencement website.

Fall 2020 graduates will have a Diploma Drive-Thru Parade on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Specific times will be emailed to December 2020 graduates and made available on the commencement website. 

Fall 2020 graduates were emailed on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, with pick up information. Latin honors cords that were not picked up on Thursday, November 19th, and Friday, November 20th were mailed on Monday, November 23, 2020.
